When I was thinking about broccoli recipes, I got this recipe from a cook book. I was doubtful how the combination would be, but it was really good and the little one at home liked it:). Ingredients of Poha with steamed broccoli
- You need 1 cup of washed poha.
- It’s Handful of roasted peanuts.
- It’s 2 of drychillies.
- You need 1/2 tbsp of mustard seeds.
- You need 1/2 cup of peas.
- Prepare 2 of potatoes.
- It’s Few of curry leaves.
- It’s 1/2 cup of Broccoli Florets.
- Prepare 1 of Lemon.
- It’s 1 of Oninon.
- It’s As per taste of Red chilli powder.

Poha with steamed broccoli instructions
- In a wok add oil mustard seeds let the seeds splutter. Now add dry chilli. Now add chopped potatoes and cook for 5-6 mins. Now add peas and again cook it with lid. Now add roasted peanuts, add salt and chilli powder. Now add washed poha and mix well. poha is ready..
- For presentation: On a white plate add sauce in the center of the plate and brush the sauce from the centre to the top and from the centre to the bottom. Now plate it with steamed broccoli lemon and onion slices.Poha plating is ready!.
By the way,I have a problem – when I pack poha for the little one's lunchbox, he doesn't eat complaining that poha was hard, but eats it all right at home, when served immediately. Is there something special I need to do for the poha to be consumed later ? After that add ,add the drained poha,enough salt and stir well and fry for a minute n turn off the stove. Steamed broccoli, asparagus & beans are my favorite. Mostly I prefer Indian style breakfast like paratha, poha, idli dosa etc.
